Took Me Forever to Learn This

I used to think skincare was complicated. Bought into every trend. My shelf was stuffed with products I didn't need.

Big waste of time.

Now my routine is maybe three steps. Four tops.

Washing? Just a little something gentle. If my face feels tight after, that's a bad sign. Learned that the hard way.

Moisturizer was tricky. My skin leans oily so I avoided it forever. Bad call. My face overreacted and got greasier. Once I added a light one, everything settled.

Sunscreen is the one thing I never skip. Hated it at first. But I found one that works and it's just habit now.

I messed around with natural stuff too. Honey is great. Oatmeal soothes. But I also burned myself with lemon once. Not repeating that.

Eating clean helps. I notice it every time. Hydration matters too. So does sleep, even though I'm terrible at it.

Used to slather on tons of products. Stopped that. Less is actually more.

I move around most days. Dog walks, stretching. Gets my blood going.

Most importantly—I stopped rushing. Skincare takes forever. I used to quit things too soon. Now I stick with it.

My skin isn't perfect. Never will be. But I like it anyway. That's enough for me.
