Important information about the limitations of IP Tester results.

General Disclaimer
IP Tester provides network diagnostic tools and informational content for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, all results should be understood in the context of their inherent limitations.
IP Geolocation Limitations
IP-based location information is approximate. It typically identifies the geographic location of your ISP's or network provider's infrastructure, not your precise physical location. Results may be inaccurate for:
- Mobile devices (which often use centralized IP pools)
- VPN and proxy users (which mask the real IP)
- Users on corporate or cloud networks
- Regions with limited geolocation data coverage
VPN and Proxy Detection
VPN and proxy detection relies on cross-referencing IP addresses against databases of known VPN, proxy, and hosting providers. This detection is not exhaustive and may produce both false positives and false negatives. The absence of a VPN/proxy indication does not guarantee that no VPN or proxy is in use.
Privacy Score
The privacy score provided by IP Tester is a simplified indicator based on observable browser and connection settings. It is not a comprehensive security assessment and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of anonymity or security. A high score does not mean you are fully protected, and a low score does not mean you are completely exposed.
DNS and WebRTC Tests
Our DNS and WebRTC test pages provide educational information about these technologies. For comprehensive DNS leak testing, consider using specialized services that query multiple DNS servers across different geographic locations. WebRTC test results may vary based on browser version, settings, and network configuration.
